The Art Room, 1999

It all began in the 90s' when a young girl named Eve stumbled upon her passion in an unexpected place: the art classroom. Nestled in the back of her elementary school at the end of a hallway behind the swimming pool, the room grew to become her favourite playground- a place of boundless creativity and self discovery.

In one of her earliest memories, she found joy in creating a medieval manuscript. With precise strokes, she formed each letter, adorning them with intricate designs and grew to realise how much beauty she was creating on paper. Through her meticulous effort, she found great satisfaction as her masterpiece took shape, igniting her passion for art.

The art room gave Eve a new sense of belonging in a dream like reality surrounded by organised shelves stacked with supplies, and decorated walls filled with drawings reminiscent of renowned artists we now appreciate as Naïve art. With each assignment, she eagerly embraced the challenge, immersing herself in the fun world of colours, shapes, and textures.

But it wasn't just the act of creating that captivated Eve; it was the sense of exploration and freedom it afforded her. She grew to understand that there were no right or wrong answers, no boundaries to confine her imagination. Here, she could be herself without fear of judgment, expressing her thoughts and feelings in ways that words could never simply capture.

As the years passed, Eve’s love for art flourished into fashion, interior design, paintings, and sculptures. Maison Lévva is her way of continuing to explore this passion and sharing it with the rest of the world, in hopes of igniting a sense of joy in creativity with others no matter what stage they are in life.
